Educational Consultant & Writer Background

I am  a tenured Professor of English in California's Bay Area, where I teach literature, composition, critical thinking, and gender studies. I earned my PhD in English from the University of California, Berkeley, pursuing my passion for teaching, texts, and technology in person and online for over 35 years. I have been an educational consultant throughout my career, working closely with academically gifted and talented students. I homeschooled my daughter, who graduated from MIT with a SB in Physics and then studied at the University of Cambridge as a 2020-2022 Marshall Scholar, pursuing an MPhil in Astronomy and Theoretical Physics. Next, she attended Cardiff University to complete an MPhil in Physics, before pursuing her PhD in Physics at Caltech.

Work

I help clients plan and document their accomplishments, informing them about opportunities, programs, and resources. I focus on academic, employment, and personal advancement, while assisting students, artists, professionals, and  homeschoolers with writing for success. I am an educational consultant who tackles your writing jobs!

Interests

When I am not working as an educational consultant or teaching at College of Marin and Dominican University, I enjoy adventures with my family, playing fetch with our dog, swimming, and glassblowing.
